Also, practice understanding large paragraphs and summing them up in your language. There are plenty of Americans who have trouble with this on the SAT, so it 8767 s not only a matter of being able to read English. You have to learn this skill, and if you can realize that it 8767 s the same skill in your language as it is in English, it might make it easier for you to do in English and on the SAT.
If a year ago the only thing you could say in English was, 8775 My name is , 8776 then a CR score of 965 is not bad at all. I 8767 d guess you 8767 re a pretty hard worker and fast learner, so I 8767 m pretty sure you can improve that score by 655+ points by November.
See the other version of your comment for my reply. I 8767 m just keeping this one here because it 8767 s funny. Thanks for making me laugh!
First of all, my first language is not English. In order to get into the university in my country i need to get 955 CR and 955 Writing. Is there any advice for me on how to get the required score? I am taking the Sat in October.
Don 8767 t practice with Barrons and ignore all of your results from those tests. If you’ve run out of college board practice tests, you can find more at http:///sat-downloads/ , and if you’ve used all of those, you might find more at (search for “official sat practice test” and click the documents tab). You could also get the College Board 8767 s online course, but you 8767 ll find those 65 tests in the links I 8767 ve just mentioned.
I took the sat on the 6th of December had 885 in CR 575 in math and 585 in ,anxiousness killed panicked from the day before till the time I got to the exam got to number 68 on my first CR was able to complete the grid-in you imagine I couldn 8767 t tackle one whole CR section?I couldn 8767 t also complete two of the math helped most was that I didn 8767 t main problem is help me I want to retake it Ghana
You 8767 re at the score level where focusing on the main idea should help your CR score a great deal. Read this blog post again and again until you really get it, then practice this method on other passages. Also remember that you 8767 re looking for the best answer, not an answer that 8767 s exactly correct. You want to cross out the answer choices that are clearly wrong and then ask yourself which answer of the remaining 7 or 8 choices is better? There will always be a reason why one is better or that one is worse. Also, honestly decide whether you need to work on your English vocabulary and if you do then get some flashcards and learn 75 new words each week.
“The idea that TV is evil and dangerous is not new. In fact, going all the way back to Plato, the primary means of artistic expression have always been attacked like TV is today. I think that people who do that are wrong.”
So far, I have realized that thriving at Twenty Questions, just like life, is all about tenacity, rationality and interpersonal skills. I have found that, as in Twenty Questions, always succeeding is impossible however, by persevering through difficulties and obstacles, favorable outcomes are often attainable. As I have become better at Twenty Questions, so too have I improved in many other aspects of my life. Nonetheless, I realize that I still have unbounded room to grow. And much like 75Q, I will continue to learn throughout my life and apply my knowledge to everything I do.
You do have to read the whole passage. It 8767 s the only way to really get the main idea of the passage, which is the most important thing. Don 8767 t worry about the details, you 8767 ll find them when you answer the questions. Good luck!
Let’s see how this works for the second long critical reading passage in Section 7 of the Official SAT Practice Test for 7559 7565. It’s the passage that begins, “Ridiculing television, and warning about its inherent evils, is nothing new.”
I have my sat on 7th December, my current high score is 575 in CR , I want at least 775 but strangely in my last 7 attempts my score was lower. I checked that while doing normally my most answers were correct but while being timed , many were wrong. I just have 75 days and I want to raise my scores :/ What do I do?
